Hal Polley

Hal Polley is Managing Director and President of WTP. Hal has spent more than a decade in private investing and venture capital and has executed principal transactions with an aggregate value in excess of USD$900 Million.
Hal began his career at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette (acquired by Credit Suisse First Boston), where he gained extensive analytical and deal experience, working on public offerings of debt and equity, leveraged buyouts, as well as mergers and acquisitions. Hal then worked for the Carlyle Group, where he participated in numerous buyouts and private investments in both growing and mature businesses. As a Principal for Bessemer Partners, Hal played a leading role in the investment process, and successfully closed several investments, as well as leading the sale of certain portfolio companies. Hal's most recent position, prior to joining WTP Capital, LLC, was as a Director at iFormation Group, a $300 million venture capital group backed by Goldman Sachs, Boston Consulting Group, and General Atlantic partners. At iFormation, Hal was responsible for all aspects of venture investing in a number of service-oriented industries. Hal holds a BA magna cum laude from Georgetown University, and an MBA from Stanford University. |
