Our Strategy
WTP equates success with superior returns on investor capital, managed risk, and world-class portfolio companies. Our strategy for achieving it is guided by three principles:
• Focus on sunrise industries – growing service industries that we know well,
and are convinced will continue to deliver real value over the long term.
Examples are: IT security, bespoke software, claims management, and other
business services that primarily are knowledge-based.
• Invest in stable and growing businesses – companies with sustainable
revenue streams and a demonstrable path to profitability. Ideally, our target
companies will have annual revenues above USD$5 Million. In other words,
we focus on businesses with a track record of success, which are ready to
take on fresh capital and use it to get to the next level.
• Optimize resource allocation – resources within the target firm that provide
opportunities to enhance profitability. We work with management teams to
forge a winning cost structure, through our extensive experience in
leveraging cost-efficient business process services and principles of labor,
tax and infrastructure arbitrage. The result is an immediate boost in margins,
a highly focused business, and long-term success.
